Aktun Ha - Carwash

Description: this is one of the first explored caverns in the Yucatán. The cenote features a huge flowered garden with stunning plants and vibrant algae.

Angelita

Skill level: experienced
Description: Angelita, which means 'little angel' in English, is not only an atypical cenote dive but also a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This cenote features a thick sulfuric cloud, from which emerge stunning trees and a small, half-moon-shaped island.

Calavera
Max. depth: 50ft / 15m
Skill level: novice/intermediate
Description: the name means 'Skull,' also known as the Temple of Doom. The water entry is a 9 ft jump. The light rays filtering through the vault are incredible! At 25 ft (8 m), you will encounter the halocline. The cavern is well-lit and full of hidden fossils waiting to be discovered.

Casa Cenote
Max. depth: 20ft / 6m

Description: Casa Cenote connects one of the largest underwater cave networks in the world, Nohoch-Na-Chich, to the ocean. This site is perfect for newly certified divers and beginners. The cenote also features a halocline and stunning light effects. Divers can navigate through pathways and cracks in the limestone.

Chac Mool
Max. depth: 46ft / 14m
Skill level: novice/intermediate
Description: KuKukulcan is part of the Chac-Mool system and will astonish you with its sunrays. A dense halocline lies around 30 ft (9 m) deep, making it feel like navigating through jelly. In Little Brother, part of the ceiling has collapsed under an air dome, revealing a spot where divers can admire hundreds of stalactites.

Chikin Ha
Max. depth: 46ft / 14m
Skill level: novice/intermediate
Description: the dive begins in the Chikin Ha cenote and then continues to the Rainbow Cenote, where sunrays create a fantastic light show. The halocline can be found at around 30 ft (9 m).

Dos Ojos
Max. depth: 33ft / 10m

Description: Dos Ojos is one of the most famous cenote dive sites in Mexico, featured in the movie Amazing Caves. This cenote offers the opportunity for two different dives. The Barbie Line allows divers to navigate among huge stalactites, columns, and the Batcave, creating a truly immersive cave experience thanks to the low lighting.

Dreamgate

El Eden

Description: a large and beautiful cenote, like a natural swimming pool in the middle of the jungle. This site is ideal for inexperienced cavern divers. The chambers are very spacious, and most of the dive takes place alongside the nearby Coral Garden Cenote. The halocline can be found at around 30 ft (9 m).

Kin Ha
Max. depth: 99ft / 30m

Description: this is a deep dive in a beautiful cenote where you can see large stalactites and small bell-shaped formations.

Nichte Ha
Max. depth: 26ft / 8m
Skill level: experienced
Description: Its name means 'Flower of the Water' in Maya. The cenote is adorned with massive stalagmites and stalactites, and on sunny days, spectacular light beams create breathtaking views — especially of the waterlily garden, seen from the darkness of the cavern zone.

Nohoch Nah Chic
Max. depth: 33ft / 10m
Skill level: experienced
Description: this cenote is part of the Sac Actun cave system, the longest in the world. This popular dive site features a cavern line installed in 2024, allowing certified recreational divers to explore stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations in clear, shallow water — even surfacing to admire them above the waterline.

Tajma Ha
Max. depth: 46ft / 14m
Skill level: experienced
Description: this cenote has much to offer for both cavern and cave divers. It features all the typical characteristics of this kind of dive: a dense halocline, stunning light effects, beautiful fossils, limestone vaults and domes unique to the region, ceiling collapses, tannic acid, and impressive speleothems.

Taak Be Ha
Max. depth: 23ft / 7m
Skill level: experienced
Description: Taak Bi Ha, which means 'Hidden Route of Water' in Maya, is one of the newer cenotes open for cavern diving. This cenote features an abundance of delicate stalactites, stalagmites, and many spectacular columns. Most importantly, to dive in Cenote Taak Bi Ha, divers must demonstrate excellent diving skills and precise buoyancy control due to the shallow water and the extremely fragile nature of its formations.

Tak Be Luum
Max. depth: 23ft / 7m
Skill level: experienced
Description: Tak Bi Luum is renowned for its unique formations, found only at this dive site. No one really knows how these bubble-shaped, burnt-marshmallow-like formations developed over time. The dive is very dark, and this cenote is suitable only for experienced divers who must demonstrate excellent diving skills and precise buoyancy control.


The Pit
Max. depth: 130ft / 40m
Skill level: experienced
Description: The Pit is an impressive sinkhole located deep in the jungle and is the deepest cave ever discovered in Quintana Roo, with a maximum depth of 400 ft (120 m). This magical site features light beams that look like surreal lasers and is one of the most popular dive sites in Mexico.

Yaakun
Max. depth: 99ft / 30m
Skill level: experienced
Description: Yaakun means 'love' in Maya. A thick hydrogen sulfide cloud begins at around 85 ft (25 m). Tree branches protrude from the cloud, so divers must exercise caution when descending. Beneath the cloud, blind cavefish and cenote shrimp are commonly seen, along with massive stalactites adorning the cavern walls.

Zapote
Max. depth: 105ft / 32m
Skill level: experienced
Description: Zapote is located in the Cenote Kin Ha park. At around 70 ft (21 m), divers are surrounded by a cloud of thin, smoky hydrogen sulfide particles. At 90 ft (27 m), you enter a room adorned with numerous bell-shaped formations. This magnificent display is truly impressive and will leave you with unforgettable memories.
