PADI Scuba Diver

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be the right choice for you.

This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification, if that’s your ultimate goal.

Open Water Diver

* 2 - 3 days

Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course.

You must be 10 years old or older, have adequate swimming skills, and be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

Adventure Diver

* 1 - 2 days

The PADI Adventure Diver course helps you achieve more success by introducing you to new types of dive adventures.
Each adventure dive can be credited as the first dive in the corresponding PADI Specialty Course.

Advanced Open Water Diver

* 2 - 3 days

The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out various specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop your abilities as you discover new ways to have fun scuba diving.

Earn credit! Each Adventure Dive may count toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course.

Emergency First Response

Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond in a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple, easy-to-follow steps for emergency care and practice applying these skills in a non-stressful learning environment.
EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings.

Rescue Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to handle dive emergencies, both minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you’ll learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you’ll put your knowledge and skills into practice.

Master Scuba Diver

The Master Scuba Diver rating places you in an elite group of respected divers who have earned this recognition through both significant experience and scuba training.
The path begins with earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification, followed by PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent certifications). You also need to earn five PADI Specialty Diver certifications and have logged a minimum of 50 dives.

Deep Diver

To scuba dive with confidence at depths of up to 40 meters/130 feet, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.
If you've earned the PADI Adventure Diver rating or higher, and you're at least 15 years old, you can enroll in the Deep Diver course.
Your training begins with a review of the reasons for deep diving and the importance of knowing your personal limits.
Additionally, the first dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course may count as an Adventure Dive toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Digital UW Photographer

Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties.
The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course gets you started quickly, whether you use a point-and-shoot camera or a sophisticated dSLR like the pros.
PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 10 years old are eligible to take the Digital Underwater Photographer course.
The second dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course may count as an Adventure Dive toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Drift Diver

Enriched Air Diver

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no-decompression time, especially on repetitive dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, don’t hesitate to become an Enriched Air Diver.

Peak Performance Buoyancy

The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course improves the buoyancy skills you learned as a new diver and takes them to the next level.
