Scuba diving and dive sites in Cozumel Mexico
Cozumel is home to the largest reef system in the Americas, the Mesoamerican Reef. Teeming with hundreds of tropical fish, turtles, sharks, moray eels, eagle rays and other vibrant sea life, it is truly a diver's dream. There are as many as 250 different species of tropical fish including the illusive Cozumel splendid toadfish, only seen in Cozumel.
Cozumel is recognized as one of the best reef diving sites in the world. In the last 20 years many divers have opted to stay in Riviera Maya to spend their dive vacations.
The water temperature (78-85 F, 25-30 C) and clarity (with a visibility of 20 to 40 meters), allow for scuba diving all year round. The depth of the dives is usually between 10 and 30 meters (33 and 100 Ft.). A gentle current will drift divers along the dive site and it'll be just like flying underwater.
Scuba Planet Mexico can offer a direct diving trip “Direct to Cozumel”. In this case you can save time because you don't need the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. Check our website to find the most beautiful spots for scuba Diving in Cozumel.
